The CNIA has recently launched a new Open Forum to encourage dialogue with anyone interested in select Nursing Informatics topics. These new Open Forums are offered in addition to our already established Member’s Community Forums in the Member’s Only space.
We encourage all CNIA members and anyone else who is interested to establish an account in the Open Forums at http://cnia.ca/forum
To Join, simply establish an account using an User Name and Password that you will remember, then join in the discussion. If you need help, the forum has a comprehensive Frequently Asked Question guide to walk you through common problems.
Thus far, two moderated forums have been established:
A Forum to encourage Nursing Informatics dialogue with our French speaking members and visitors – this forum is moderated by our Quebec jurisdictional representative, François-Régis Fréchette and our former President (2006-7), Robin Carriere.
Ce forum a été créé pour encourager la discussion en français au sujet de l’informatique canadienne de soins. Modérateurs : Robin Carriere et François-Régis Fréchette .
A forum which encourages dialogue regarding the critical importance of nursing data within electronic health records and other key initiatives, moderated by our President Margie Kennedy and our Treasurer, Tracy Shaben. This forum is open to anyone interested in discussing the nursing informatics implications and necessary involvement as outlined by the Standards Collaborative.
The Member’s Community Forums also feature a Standards In Nursing Data forum (Moderators are Margie and Tracy) – please come and share your thoughts and ideas at http://www.cnia.ca/membersonly/
As well, we offer a Community Cyber Cafe for sharing a diverse array of topics that are important to our CNIA members (moderated by Robin Carriere and June Kaminski).
Please come and join in the discussions – our goal is to make these forums dynamic and a rich resource for our members and other Canadians!
