\"\"I wish to introduce this new issue of the Canadian Journal of Nursing Informatics (CJNI) by welcoming the new Executive Board of the Canadian Nursing Informatics Association for 2008 and 2009. I also wish to extend deep gratefulness to our outgoing Past President, Lynn Nagle who was our Founding President through the entire development of the CNIA. She will be sorely missed! Lynn will continue on as one of the Managing Editors of the CJNI however.<\/p>\n

I also wish to acknowledge our outgoing President, Robin Carriere who will continue to serve as our Past President. Robin has introduced fresh new ideas to our organization and we look forward to continuing to work with him in his new role. As well, please join me in welcoming our newest Board members, President-Elect, Eithne Reichert (who has served as our Saskatchewan representative), Director of Education, Viriginia Ellis and Jurisdictional Representatives, Heidi Chevier (Ontario) and Elaine Perreault (Quebec). We are still looking for representatives for Saskatchewan, PEI, the Yukon and the NWT.<\/p>\n

I am also in the process of giving the CNIA web site (including the Journal) a face lift. The intent is to bring the site up to current XHTML standards and to enrich your viewing experience.
